FAB-FIBE SHOW - CALL FOR ENTRIES

We are having an exhibition of Fabric and Fiber (paper) at end of this year and would like to invite designers to participate on the paper toy skin design.

This is a collaboration project we work with a designer from Taiwan who created the Love Bear. The Boxy Bat and the Love Bear will be exhibited at the exhibition.

Why Fab-fibe Show?

An exhibition on the multi-possibilities of fabric and paper.

Fab is a short form of fabric but also a slang for fabulous. Fibe is short form of fiber for paper, but it sounds like vibe. So in a round-about way it's like Fabulous Vibes.

HotLink Project

This is a project work with Ogilvy Malaysia on a HotLink project.
The website was launched last week and now some friend just send us a photo of banner and a scan of a print ad.

Gigantic Boxy Fio

This big guy spent me about 3 and a half hour to complete it. He's the man character of Big Foot Series. Same as the Boxy Bat Design concept, it form by several simple shapes, even a beginners also can fold it easily.

Nana in Sin Chew

Got another interview of Nana in the next day we saw the Newtide interview. This time is in Sin Chew Plus 星洲日报副刊 24-07-2009.

Nana was interviewed by Newtide Magazine during the "Fabric Fun World Stage Dolls Exhibition 09" at June.

How ever there are some mistake of the doll creation photo. You can go to Nana's blog to read more on that. Nana also feel sorry to the artist because the magazine side used her creation in Nana's interview.

Phio

This is one of the new member of Big Foot family. The name is Phio who is the Phantom of Fio.
I think you should be able to tell it's character, yes it is not as gentle as Fio.
It is the opposite side of Fio.

Kelu and Big Foot at KL Design Week

Bat DNA Kelu and Big Foot are exhibited at KL Design Week, the event is hold at CapSquare a very new mall near Dang Wangi LRT station.

Below are some photo from Fabric-fun taken when Nana the set up was completed.

I was there for 2 days from 29 Mar to 30 Mar, it was a very successful event and the thing is I got to know some of the local designer and artist they're all full of enthusiasm.

And also we're very happy that people there like Kelu and the Big Foot creature very much, and we met our high school art teacher there and guess what he bring about 70 over junior there for this event. Nice to meet all of you there.

Big Foot Series online catalogue

A Big Foot Series booklet I did some times back, maybe some of you already seen it at Nana's exhibition.
I just make it online so that more people can see it.

Big Foot Booklet

This is the booklet about Big Foot dolls series.
It was made to put in the shops that selling Big Foot dolls, as not all of the dolls will being display at one shot and also some shops might only have a few of them. This is simply because all dolls are handmade by Nana, she can't produce too many of them.

Big Foot drawings

Some vector drawing for big foot creatures. The most tedious part of these drawing is the lines on the creatures, they really took a lots of time.
