Drawing from my trip

These are some of the drawings I did during my Europe trip.

Drew this 2 days before we leaving London, when we are waiting for our laundry to be done.

Cats in the B&B houseboat we stay before we coming back Singapore from Amsterdam.

Met this huge dog when we took the boat from Interlaken to Spiez. Many passengers took photo with him.

Singtel Abang Jimat site

Singtel Abang Jimat site is up, the illustrations were done by me.
I've been working on this project since last year, most of the drawing are black and white in local Malay newspaper, now they are online and in colour.

No all illustrations in this project were done by me, some other illustrators also involve in this, so you might feel that the character seems not consistent in different media, even so all of us are working very hard in a rush timeline giving our best to make it happen. It's my honor to work with so many great people in this project.

I'm looking forward to get myself busier on this project this year.
You can check out the site at the link below:

OIC Portrait Day March 2011

Some drawing I did at the OIC Portrait Day March 2011. Try a non-waterproof pen to draw, I'm satisfy with the ink smudge after applying the water colour, it just blend the ink with the colour.

So this is something that I did for fun, a portrait of Nana. Hope you'll like it.

OIC 4th anniversary portrait drawing

Some drawings done during OIC 4th anniversary at The National Art Gallery. I personally quite enjoy, the crowd is very different from the usual Maad OIC Portrait day. Change another drawing pad, texture of the paper is smoother, paper is thinner and more absorbent to water.

Was planning to draw everybody who are posing for us, due to some reason I didn't manage to draw some of the poser. So sorry~

There is a little girl sitting beside him to calm this little boy but i didn't manage to draw her

Comic Project for BBDO - Abang Jimat

These are some of the comic I did for BBDO it's about the story of this character call Abang Jimat and his family. Every project is a new to me as I could try different drawing style, so do this one, it's interesting.

Basically the they're main for Malay market so all the dialog are all in Malay. You may see it around Paya Lebar area. Some illustration in some media are not done by me so you might realised there's a bit difference between each media.

Hari Raya period will have more ads in Malay newspaper. Below are just some ads from the art director. Some of them I don't post here as i don't get the layout files from them.

Add in another 2 ads.

OIC Portrait Day at August 2010

Some sketches that i did at the OIC Portrait Day this August.
This time I tried doing sepia colour on the over all sketch only giving a little saturated colour on some part of the drawing such as one of their t-shirt, only at the later part of the day I did in more colourful way. And also this time I given a thicker outline on the people that actually made them more out standing and more focused.

OIC Portrait Day at June 2010

This is the 2nd times I using my water colour this year. The first time was at the Portrait Day at March. After the March portrait day I went to buy a brown ink pen until June I finally got a chance to use it. haha~

Now a days I usually do digital drawing as clients often require a digital files and many changes as many of you knew it. When too use to the Undo function, I'm scared of drawing on a paper with ink but I used to draw with ballpoint pen many years ago.

So that's the reason of joining the portrait day is to force myself drawing on paper and draw in a limited time. This remind me when I was still in high school, we used to do sketching on the street, rushing home work like water colour painting or oil painting etc. It require very sharp observation and also good skill.

Too much rubbish~ here are the only 2 sketches that I managed to shoot on that day.

The little man above was hard to draw~ I've tried 2 times but failed end up I change my position and do a quite sketch of him, a bit rough but I quite like it.

This one was the very last drawing on that day, probably because of I've done so many sketches, my hands are warmed up, lines are fine, water colour also in control.

The Unleashed Colours

Kind of like my last painting style, so wanted to try on this direction again and see how far of the unleashed colours can go.

Not for any jobs or commissioned by anybody, just a painting for my own interest.
